European Skin Care has recently
added a camera that can reveal what is truly happening beneath
the surface of the skin. The camera utilizes Ultraviolet Light
that takes a photograph beneath the epidermis, revealing the
true skin condition. Conditions such as hyper pigmentation,
dehydration, oil, dry skin buildup and photo damage are all
revealed with just one photograph. The photo tells the true
story of what conditions need to be addressed.
In
many cases, much of the photo damage that shows up in the
picture cannot be seen by the naked eye. This can be a "wake-up
call" for the client and aesthetician to perform treatments
and reevaluate home care regimens that are appropriate to
addressing photo damage. In many cases, photo damage and pre
cancerous conditions can be reversed and controlled.
For
the client who has hyper pigmentation, the UV Camera helps
the aesthetician to assess in which level of the skin the
pigmentation lies. This condition cannot be properly and fully
assessed by the naked eye. This is important as hyper pigmentation
that lives in the epidermis can potentially be eliminated
while hyper pigmentation that lives in the dermis can only
be reduced and controlled. This assessment gives the aesthetician
the opportunity to perform the correct treatment, which can
vary for epidermal versus dermal pigmentation. It also lets
the client know up front what can and cannot be addressed
and what her home care commitment should be.
The
UV Camera also reveals dehydration, dry skin and oil buildup
and shows what areas need to be addressed. It serves to assess
and document the correction and progress that is being made
with the individual program designed for each client. Again,
a valuable tool to pinpoint and prioritize treatments, home
care and results!
