Maria Bourland, owner, licensed esthetician, prolific reader
of textbooks, periodicals, and articles on skincare, nutrition,
and general health.
Maria was born in Odessa,
Russia where she obtained a degree in economics and pursued
a career in administration. Wishing to seek more economic
opportunity and freedom, she immigrated to the United States
in 1978 with $300 and a limited use of the English language.
After an assortment of odd jobs to support her family, Maria
attended her 1st facial school in New York City and began
her career in the “skin business” with Saks Fifth
Avenue. After a few years with Saks, she opened European Skin
Care by Maria and in 1997 incorporated her business.
For years, she was
a one-woman salon that started from scratch with drug-store
products and loyal clients that trusted in her knowledge,
expertise, dedication, and personal care. Today,
European Skin Care by Maria, inc offers the latest in treatments,
the most effective of products, the most qualified experienced
estheticians, and clients who are still with her after 15
years.
